Our Mission
The Mission of WTEC is to support the leadership, faculty and staff within our 16 member districts to have the knowledge and skills to:
Implement evidence-based instructional practices for all students. This includes the ability to utilize instructional strategies validated for struggling learners and students with disabilities.
Evaluate and modify instructional practices in response to ongoing assessment data in order to meet the instructional needs of all learners.
Create and maintain safe and orderly learning environments.
Utilize evidence-based strategies to ensure their students complete their public education successfully and continue to have positive post-secondary outcomes.
Facilitate parent involvement and education utilizing existing and emerging effective practices.
Provide consultation and assistance, where appropriate, to professionals in non-school settings serving school age children and persons with exceptionalities.
The Vision of WTEC is for every child in member districts to be proficient in reading and math, while leaving school with the necessary skills to be successful in higher education or the workplace.
